Our Financial Partners:
Ryan holds a life insurance license and investment licenses in both B.C. and Alberta. He is currently in the process of obtaining his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
During Ryan’s years as a professional golfer and working in the golf industry, he developed a natural connect with people. As a financial planner, he takes pride in really getting to know his clients and offering ultimate customer service.
After completing his Bachelor of Economics from University of Alberta, Ryan got his first taste in the financial industry at GE Capital Solutions Division in Calgary, AB. While gaining valuable experience and knowledge in the industry, his role at GE did not seem to be the perfect fit as he wanted to connect more directly with individuals, giving them more personal financial care. This was the great motivation behind his switch to personal and business financial planning and wealth management work in 2009.
Ryan has a strong drive to help his clients, and an equal enthusiasm to contribute into his community by his work with the Big Brothers of Canada Association and the Kelowna Falcons baseball team. In Ryan’s spare time he enjoys watching hockey, especially the Vancouver Canucks, and playing golf.
Originally from Ontario, Brett traveled to, worked and lived in many countries around the world before making Kelowna his permanent home. Brett has been working as a financial adviser in Kelowna for a little over a decade now and can’t imagine living anywhere else!
Designated as a Certified Financial Planner® & Chartered Investment Manager®, Brett holds life insurance and investment licenses in B.C., Alberta and Ontario. With a background in business and risk management, he previously worked as a U.S. equities trader for a boutique Canadian firm. Previous to that, he held a director level position at an international business strategy company, overseeing the operations in several different industries.
Brett was elected to the board of the Financial Planning Standards Council by fellow CFP® professionals in 2014 and was recently appointed as the board’s vice-chair. The “client’s best interest” is not just a phrase for him but instead something that Brett truly believes in and keeps at the forefront of his mind in all aspects of financial planning and client services.
As a dedicated supporter of his local community, Brett has served on the Board of Directors for the local chapter of the Canadian Mental Health Association as well as the Ballet Kelowna Society. Brett is also a founder of the 100 Men Who Give A Damn Kelowna – a “non-organization” that meets quarterly to raise money for local charities. As a fully certified Search and Rescue Manager for the BC Provincial Emergency Program, Brett also volunteers with the Central Okanagan Search and Rescue team. In his spare time, Brett can be found in the mountains rock climbing, skiing, white‐water kayaking and mountain biking with his wife and two sons.
